Hess gas station

I buy my gas every week at the Hess Gas station. They are the rudest employee's I have ever met. I understand you have to do inventory, but making a customer wait more than 5 minutes to pay cash for gas is a little much and then no word is said like " sorry for the wait" or even just a verbal" can I help you ". Specifically an employee named Grace was so rude and I think was very put off when I actually had to tap the glass to get her attention. She never spoke a word to me, but rather opened the drawer with a dirty look so I could give her my money. I never complain, but honestly, it makes you not want to get gas there anymore.

You can call 1800HESSOIL and sometimes can fix it. Easiest way to fix it is call the station where it was purchased give the MANAGER the card number and we can usually send it to corp and they can find out what the issue with it was.

I have has this happen in the past.

Keep in mind the cards are mass produced and there are issue sometimes with it. Hope this helps

Gas Station Overcharging

Hess Gas Station at 184 Madison St & Green St in Worcester, MA has pumps (including Pump #4) that when authorizing the pump start at $0.04 not at ZERO. When I made the attendant aware of this she said to "End the Sale" and start again. When I asked if I would be charged, she responded "Of Course!" If every customer is overcharged by 4 cents time 30 cars per hour per pump would be $28.80/pump/day of overcharges. I've contacted the local authorities to audit their pumps and fine them if necessary. Don't buy gas there!

To last poster. I run a Hess Station myself.

Brand new store not an old one by any means. When the hose is shaken the fuel can be pushed into the nozzle and out of the hose/whip/breakaway.

When the next consumer starts the pump the pressure from the fuel coming from the tanks refills the hose to create the pressure that should be there. Hope that helps.

I went to Hess in Chicopee MA. My pump started at $.19.

I went in and asked and they said it is because people empty the hose and the air registers as having that much gas to fill it. Trying to find out if this is legal.
